Born in Greenwich in 1976 I am one of the rare breed of ‘South London Cypriot’s.  However in the late 1980’s my mother decided to ‘repatriate’ us to what was then the Cypriot Mecca of  Haringey.

I am currently Supporting People Advice Officer at Turkish Cypriot Women’s Project.  I began as a volunteer at TCWP in 1994 and then went on to the role of Young Women’s Advice Worker. Emine has also worked as an Advice Worker at Turkish Cypriot Community Association and as a journalist for the English section of community newspaper Toplum Postasi.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Politics and currently in the process of completing an MA in International Relations at London Metropolitan University .
