Our Values

About TCWP

TCWP is a charitable organisation and is governed by a Board of Trustees (Management Committee). The Organisations work is managed through a service of sub-committees that cover services, building and finance. Any Turkish-speaking woman can become a member of TCWP and vote at Annual General Meetings. There is an annual membership fee of £7.00 but although we try to maintain an equality framework of collection from all women who regularly receive advice, support counselling, this fee is not a statutory requirement to become a member but it helps us to offer a better service to the very women we serve.

The Turkish Cypriot Women’s Project was set up in November 1984. A small group of Turkish speaking women got together to advise, support women and to elevate isolation and help with the aim of women accessing vital services.

That small Organisation has grown today in to one of London’s major Turkish Speaking women’s organisations, which provides a quality and caring service to all Turkish speaking women.
